If you have children then you'll be pleased to know they are well catered for here. Children as young as 2.5 years can participate in ski school, and ski passes are free for children under 5 years old. 

If you wish to have your children looked after then there are crèches available that take babies from 6 months old. Alternatively, we have contacts with registered child minders and babysitters.

St Gervais crèche from 6 months 

Les contamines crèche from 1 year old

During the summer, for older children there is the St Gervais activity centre, where they can participate in games, camping, ice skating, rambles, swimming, snow sports and mini golf, or courses such as painting, sculpting, pottery and even a circus school. Some courses can be booked for the week or some are short, one day courses, that can be booked once you are here. A one day course costs in the region of 20 Euros (£14).

Nearby there are a number of adventure parks with Tyrolienne zip-wire rides and adventure obstacle courses. There is also pony-trekking and a summer luge run as well as mountain bike hire, tennis and mini-golf. To incentivise them to go walking, why not hire a donkey to take with you.

For swimmers, St Gervais has a superb outdoor pool. There are several indoor pools nearby as well as lakes with designated swimming areas and pedalo hire.

Kids also love the "grown up" outings such as the rack and pinion railway from St Gervais to the Col de Voza and Nid d'Aigle or the Montenvers railway that takes you to the Mer de Glace glacier.
